BACKGROUND

ISUOG has always been the congress to find out what’s new and what’s next for GE Healthcare. Every year, the global leader in Women’s Health ultrasound unveils the biggest breakthroughs, innovations, and technology that everyone will be talking about in gynecology, fertility, and fetal medicine.

 

Known for its product demonstrations and Meet the Expert Sessions, it was essential for GE to find dynamic ways to showcase its systems and provide education. GE also needed to create an experience for VIP customers to replace their elaborate networking lounge.

SOLUTION

GE Healthcare’s platform had to be bold and unexpected—make headlines. That led to the creation of the GE newsroom. The design mimicked a modern newsroom, and the overall concept conveyed a sense of immediacy and action during the congress. Our team developed a fast-paced headline video and leveraged the ‘breaking news’ theme to drive traffic.

 

Visitors discovered a content-rich platform and could experience product demos right from their screen in an interactive setting. Delegates could also network and participate in activities through Voluson’s virtual lounge.

RESULT

During the three-day congress, the GE Newsroom had 1150 unique visitors. The digital experience enabled GE to reach a different segment of its target audience that does not typically travel to ISUOG.

 

The platform also encouraged engagement with 763 live chats reported during the event. The virtual format was such a success, GE has decided to include a digital option, in addition to the physical meetings in the future. The GE Newsroom is now adapted for other global congresses and is considered a powerful ongoing communications tool for the company.
